The 4th Grade classes of Smithville Elementary enjoyed an experiment sponsored by the CENTIPEDe Project in Ms. Swearingen's class last week. The experiment called for taking a hamburger and fries and blending them together. Once that part was completed, the items were strained, boiled, and then chilled to determine the fat content of the subtances. Students then wrote about the processes in their science journals.
